How I Can Help
What would you like to understand or do better?

You might be facing a decision that has outgrown your usual approach. Your team might be working hard without making the progress you expected. Or you might know the value of your work and struggle to explain it to the people you want to reach.
I help individuals and organisations work through these kinds of difficulties. We begin by understanding what is happening, whom it affects and what a worthwhile improvement would look like. That gives us a basis for deciding which questions, skills or changes deserve attention.
Analysis and strategy
When a problem keeps returning, it is worth examining the conditions that keep producing it. I can help you investigate a complex situation, challenge assumptions and consider how culture, incentives and relationships influence the choices available.
That work can involve research, a closer examination of a decision, or a facilitated discussion with people who experience different parts of the problem. The purpose is to develop an understanding that helps you choose a direction and recognise what you need to learn as you proceed.
Communication and business development
A sound direction becomes more useful when people understand why it matters. I can help you identify your audience, clarify your message and choose ways to communicate that fit the people you need to reach.
In business strategy and development, this means looking closely at whom you can serve well, the problems you can help them address and the value of working with you. From there, we can shape communication that supports trust and lasting relationships.
I also write and edit reports, grant applications and other substantial material. My aim is to make the argument easier to follow while preserving the detail people need to assess it.
Training and mentoring
Clearer communication can reveal a further need: people may understand what is expected but lack a useful way to begin. I provide training in applied thinking and complex problem solving, helping people build a range of approaches and exercise judgement about when to use them.
Through one-to-one mentoring, I help people think through professional challenges, question familiar interpretations and identify practical next steps. This can include project management, Strategic Culture and crisis management. The aim is to strengthen your capability to work through the next situation as well as the one in front of you.
Facilitation and speaking
Sometimes the knowledge a group needs is already in the room, but its conversations are not bringing that knowledge together. I facilitate discussions and moderate forums, helping participants make difficult ideas accessible, examine disagreements and stay connected to the purpose of the conversation.
I am also available for speaking and MC engagements. We can discuss the audience, the occasion and what you would like people to understand, consider or carry away.
Beginning with your situation
Tell me what you are trying to achieve, where you are getting stuck and who is involved. We can then discuss whether my experience fits your needs and what form of work would be useful.
You do not need a perfectly written brief. A clear account of what is troubling you is a good place to start.
